Javik shakes his head at her, only a little surprised by the comparison. Telling himself that he should have expected that she would try to find a way to justify it, or turn his own words on him.
“The difference, Commander, is that I am not enraged.”
Her gaze falls to the floor and she lets out a soft growl. “Javik. I’m done playing this game. I know what I want, and it’s head on a plate. If I reget it in the morning, fine, I regret it. But I can’t just let him walk away without doing something.”
